Parent and Guardian Community Support Sessions

Context: In the past several weeks the children, families and communities of North End Halifax and North Preston have witnessed and been exposed to traumatic events involving the loss of life of several young Black men in those communities. To support our learners and their families, HRSB has partnered with several Black health care professionals (Clinical Social Workers and Psychologist) skilled in the area of trauma from a culturally relevant lens. They will provide service and supports to help meet the needs of our children and families.
Sessions are open to parents/guardians and other community members affiliated with our families of schools. They are family centered, and will take a race and trauma-informed approach to offering care.
